About EarnTime
At EarnTime, we believe everyday responsibilities can become opportunities to build better habits. We created EarnTime to help families make chores more engaging by connecting effort with rewards children value.
Instead of simply giving internet time, families can create a system where children work toward earning it.
Chores Done. Minutes Earned.
Questions parents ask
What is EarnTime?
EarnTime is a family chore-reward app that lets children earn internet minutes by completing household tasks approved by their parents.
How do children earn minutes?
Parents assign a minute value to each chore. Children complete the chore, send a photo as proof, and receive the minutes once a parent approves it.
Can parents decide how many minutes each chore is worth?
Yes. You set the reward for every chore in your household.
Can parents approve or reject completed chores?
Yes. You review each submitted chore before any minutes are added, and you can ask for a redo if it isn't finished.
Can parents give bonus minutes?
Yes. You can add extra minutes for extra effort.
What happens when a child's minutes run out?
The timed session ends and the phone returns to its usual settings, where apps and websites stay closed until more minutes are earned. Apps you choose to always allow, such as Phone and Messages, keep working, and emergency calls always work. EarnTime uses Apple's Screen Time features, so what can be allowed depends on what iOS supports and how the phone is set up.
Is EarnTime available on iPhone?
Not yet. EarnTime is being built for iPhone and isn't on the App Store. Join the early-access list and we'll email you when it's ready to try.
Is Android supported?
Not at the moment. We're building for iPhone first and don't have an Android release planned yet. If your family uses Android, let us know so we can gauge interest.
Does EarnTime track browsing history?
No. EarnTime is designed not to collect your child's browsing history, the websites they visit, or their messages. It only keeps what it needs to run chores and minutes, such as a nickname, the chores, the proof photos and the minutes balance. Your child's data won't be sold or shared with advertisers. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
How much will EarnTime cost?
We plan to launch with two family plans: $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year, each with a 7-day free trial. Prices may change before launch. See pricing for details.
When can I try EarnTime?
